Billy Buss

Rising Trumpeter, in-demand bandleader, and thoughtfully emotive composer, Billy Buss, debuts his first, self-released album, “Scenes From A Dream”.  Brought to life by some of today’s most creative and intuitive improvisers, this album marks the culmination of Buss’ life course, his studies and experiences that shape a masterfully honed artistic vision.  It features internationally acclaimed tenor saxophonist, DAYNA STEPHENS who has been hailed by DownBeat, The NY Times, The SF Chronicle, NPR and Tom Harrell as “A total genius!”

Buss’ core quintet (featured on all tracks) includes: Godwin Louis (alto sax), Luke Marantz (piano and Rhodes), Zach Brown (electric and acoustic bass) and Adam Arruda (drums).  Together, this group takes honest and explorative creativity to task; whether it’s commanding attention with high energy, up-tempo themes or inciting meditative thought with a lush ballad, the band rides the waves of energy from start to finish.
